Hygienist- East Side of Houston

Job Summary:

Dental hygienists provide preventive oral care, assist dentists in clinical procedures, and educate patients on maintaining good oral hygiene. They play a key role in identifying oral health issues and promoting overall dental wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform dental cleanings (removal of plaque, tartar, and stains) Examine patients for signs of oral diseases such as gingivitis Take and develop dental X-rays Apply preventive treatments (fluoride, sealants) Record and update patient medical histories Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and oral care techniques Assist dentists during procedures when needed Maintain sterilization and infection control standards Document findings and report concerns to the dentist

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist Knowledge of dental tools, procedures, and radiography Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and manual dexterity Compassion and ability to work with diverse patients

Work Environment:

Dental clinics, private practices, hospitals, or community health centers Typically full-time or part-time; may include evenings or weekends
